- Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Program for Teens
- Anger Management for Teens - Does your teen explode, punch holes in walls, scream, threaten or yell unreasonably? Has your child gotten into trouble at school or with the law? This class will teach teens what to do before their anger takes over, how to be assertive versus aggressive, what their triggers are, and how to stay calm.
- Anger Management for Adults - Do you feel out of control with your anger? Have you been told you scare others with your anger? Do you throw things, threaten others or explode? Have you gotten into legal trouble because of your temper? Learn in an understanding, non-judgmental environment how to handle your anger in a positive way. Identify triggers, develop assertive skills, manage intense feelings and get back in control.
- Parenting Support for the Teen
Years
Parenting a teen is undoubtedly the most challenging task that parents face. Come learn, laugh, vent and receive support for navigating the roller coaster years of raising a teenager. In this class, you will learn about the necessary developmental tasks that a teenager must accomplish, how to avoid a power struggle with a child who will attempt to win at all costs, and strategies for maintaining a positive relationship with your child.
- Drug and Alcohol Prevention and Awareness for Teens and Parents
- Girl time! - A safe, confidential group where girls (ages
13 – 16) can discuss life’s biggest questions: relationships, body image,
hopes and dreams, stress on today’s girls.
Counseling is conducted by Teen and Family Counseling Center’s registered
interns under the supervision of licensed professionals
